Trusting Your Inner-Self

My home was recently burglarized.  Terrible feeling, really, knowing someone was rummaging through my belongings.  My cats were obviously hiding throughout the ordeal... they say cats have a sort of sixth sense, and I have to wonder what their perception of the experience was like.  I believe they were able to perceive the negative intention this intruder held, enabling them to keep themselves safe.  We as humans also have this ability to instinctively know what is right and wrong, what is good and what is evil, as well as what is best for ourselves at each and every moment.

My first reaction to this situation was one of fear.  For awhile, I allowed those feelings to overpower me.  I was ruled by decisions, thoughts and beliefs that deep inside I knew were not the right ones for me.  It was only once I reclaimed my power, and regained control of my emotions, that I began to trust my intuition and internal knowing of what I needed in order to heal and move forward.

For each of us, there will always be times of struggle and times of triumph.  Through it all, we must always look inward to remember how truly powerful we are, to find our heart's true desire, and overcome any obstacles that may come our way.  The most amazing thing is that as you focus your attention inward and trust yourself to know what is right for you, you become aware of all of your possibilities
